Summary

WebTrim does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the extension does happens entirely on your device.

None. WebTrim does not collect any personal information, browsing history, or usage data.

Data storage

The rules you create (hidden elements and text filters) are stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your browser and is never sent to any server.

Third-party services

WebTrim does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data services. There is no backend server.

Permissions

WebTrim requests the following Chrome permissions:

storage — to save your rules locally on your device.
activeTab — to apply your rules to the current tab when you open the popup.
scripting — to inject CSS that hides elements on the page, including on sites with strict Content Security Policies.
host_permissions (<all_urls>) — to apply your rules on any website you choose.

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data.
